Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

Super City Law recognizes the importance of privacy and the sensitivity of personal information. As a law firm we have a professional duty to keep client information confidential, and we comply with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Information subject to solicitor–client privilege remains protected; this policy does not limit that privilege.

What we collect

  • Information you give us through our consultation form, by email or by phone — such as your name, contact details and a summary of your legal matter.
  • Information needed to provide legal services once you become a client, collected directly from you wherever possible, or with your consent from third parties such as courts, registries, insurers, financial institutions or medical professionals.
  • Basic technical information when you visit this website (such as browser type and pages visited), collected in aggregate without cookies and not used to identify you.

How we use it

We use personal information to respond to your enquiry, to provide and bill for legal services, and to meet our legal and professional obligations. We do not sell personal information or share it for marketing.

The consultation form

Messages sent through our website form are delivered to our office email by a secure email service. Please do not include confidential details in the form — sending it does not create a lawyer–client relationship. We keep enquiries only as long as needed to respond and to meet our record-keeping obligations.

When we may disclose information

With your consent, we may share information with people who help us serve you, such as staff, associates, other professionals, courts and government bodies. We may disclose information without consent only where the law requires or permits it — for example, under a court order, in an emergency threatening someone's life, health or safety, or to collect fees owed.

How we protect it

We use physical, organizational and technological safeguards, including encrypted email, access controls and secure storage. No internet transmission is completely secure, so please contact us by phone if you prefer not to share details by email.

Your rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Some exceptions apply by law (for example, where records contain another person's information or are subject to privilege). Requests should be made in writing to our Privacy Officer.
